Group TBS released something at least a bit decet - a patch 1.5 for popular Call of Duty 4. The 11 MB update offers multiplayer bug fixes and additional mod support. A mod tools patch is available as well, which makes the tools work with languages other than English. You need to have installed version 1.4 already.
